SHARED by you and your pets, and it looks beautiful and lush all the time - rain or shine!
Advantages of all turf:
- Is easily sanitized, groomed and cleaned
- Can handle daily traffic, ruff and tumble play, even in wet weather
- Helps to eliminate dirt and dust inside your home.
- Less cleaning - indoors and out!
- Dogs scratch their backs on it
- Fleas and Ticks don't like it
- Dogs can't chew the turf up (Beagles breeds seem to pull up the turf easier)
Disadvantages of all turf:
- It gets as hot as concrete (But doesn't burn your feet like concrete does). Concrete is solid, Turf has airflow, therefore it is safe for pets feet.
- You "must" wash the turf down with water and vinegar to dilute the urine smell in hotter weather.

NOTE: Most people don't realize that you must water down the area that your pet urinates at. Urine bacteria grow in the dirt and needs to be diluted.
- You pay more for the turf upfront, then in 3-5 years it pays for itself.
- You must remove debris such as leaves, feces, or anything that blows in. You would have to do that with real grass or no grass.
- If you walk on the turf, you have to fluff (groom) the grass up usually every 6 months, depending on use.

One Thing For Sure Synthetic Grass is An Option for Pet Owners!
Artificial Grass for Big and Little Dogs
Some of the busiest professional kennels in the country use Artificial Grass For Dogs
Teacup to Extra-Large Dogs
You might be surprised to find how many pets are sensitive to the chemicals and organic materials and often
suffer as much as their owners do from contact with NATURAL lawns.
Small or large dogs really enjoy "being dogs" on synthetic grass surfaces.
The surface fibers, of most products, are soft underfoot, and hypo-allergenic.
Keep the area free of debris, clean and sanitary for your pets.
Grooming regularly will keep it fresh and healthy for them.
Add a walkway of concrete, stepping stones or other materials for heavy traffic spots.
The hard surfaces will also help with paw pad health - keeping them conditioned for outdoor walks and running.
Never use loose rock or bark on a kennel path way.
These loose, organic materials will contaminate the grass surfaces and create more grooming and maintenance.
Mature dogs treat the surfaces as if they were carpet and will not dig or tear it up.
It is a soft surface and breeders recommend that you mix surface types in a kennel area - do not leave your dogs only on
soft surfaces or you risk paw health.
Little dogs, picky about everything, will welcome their new lawns - especially if they are fussy about playing or walking on damp grasses.
Designed and engineered properly, a professionally installed dog yard will drain fast and be dry quickly, helping your pup to feel comfortable about going out, even after a rain.
Removing organic wastes from the surfaces regularly and sanitizing with enzymes and vinegar will help keep the area healthy and fresh for you and your pet.

Designing the Dog's Side Yard or Kennel area with Synthetic Grass Surfaces ...
For Best Results, Hunny Do Recommends That
Artificial Turf Materials for Dog Areas Should Be…
Slip resistant
Hypersporic and Anti-Microbial (resistant to bacterial growth)
Polyethylene yarns are preferred, Nylon and Polypropylene are Also Options (slit film, monofilament or dual yarns)
Artificial Grass Yarns Should Be Tufted into Poly-urethane coated, porous backings
Kennels should be built to provide excellent drainage so that pet yard areas can be irrigated heavily helping to wash through contaminants and treatment products
Always design a kennel, where the dog will be housed for long periods, with some type of hard surface materials, such as, pavers, concrete pathways, pad or stepping stones. Rough surfaces will help keep dog paw health at its optimum. Leaving an animal on soft materials, such as carpet, for long periods can make their paws hyper-sensitive.
Most Importantly:
It is recommended to use Durafill as your infill on top of the turf when medium to large sized pets are going to urinate on the turf. We give you a choice to use Silica Sand or Durafill in your installations. Durafill is usually about $0.75 more than Silica Sand installations but is better. Durafill is a poly coated silica sand which urine bacteria cannot adhere to .
You must dilute your pets urine areas with water and vinegar to help control urine smell. This is recommended by all turf manufactures in the world. We also sell Turf Renu in a spray bottle, but it is cheaper for you to use vinegar and water.
